A Water Transfer Technician is responsible for ensuring that freshwater movement occurs effectively and efficiently as required by an oil and gas operator.

Summary: Water transfer is a new oil field service operation for Ute Energy that was established in November of 2019 with innovation, technology, efficiency, honor, and integrity at the forefront of our way of doing business. Water is the land’s lifeblood for the Ute Indian Tribe, and Ute Energy respectfully can ensure the valuable water resources of the Tribe are transferred with our community ideals and sovereign laws respected. A Water Transfer Technician must understand and promote this company culture. Facilitate open communication with their fellow employees, clients, and community partners. Attend and participate in meetings, work groups, team meetings, committees, workshops, individual training, and training conferences and seminars when assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A Water Transfer Technician is responsible for ensuring that freshwater movement occurs effectively and efficiently as required by an oil and gas operator.

Duties Include:
  • Operating pumps and valves

  • Rigging up frac pads and pumps

  • Reeling out lay flat and reeling up lay flat

  • Ensuring a clean work area (free of trash)

  • Making sure pumps are full of fuel

  • Monitoring water tanks so they don’t over fill and or go empty

  • Making sure the pump is operating properly and any leaks are being reported

  • Reporting to leads and manager

  • Performs other duties as assigned and reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.


Schedule:
Typical oil field service work with 24 hour and 7 day a week schedule, and Holiday work is required. 24 Hour call-out schedule, no exceptions. A typical work week is 60 hours +.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Not ALL QUALIFICATIONS are quantifiable, qualifications will be discussed and assessed during the scheduled interview and throughout the probationary period by UEEM management. The requirement listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
  • One (1) year of experience and/or equivalent training

  • Able to thrive in a team environment

  • Always fit for duty

  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds safely

  • Must possess time and duty self-management skills

  • Must be able to work at below freezing and extreme heat temperatures in a safe manner

  • Must be able to equip and maintain any PPE assigned to you (including COVID-19)

  • Must possess working knowledge of work management software, general computer and smartphone applications understanding, and a professional manner of communications

  • Must have working knowledge of diesel and gas engines as well as fluid pump heads attached to the engine


Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Class A license is required, CDL recommended

Employment Conditional upon the Results of the Following:
  • Must be able to pass to preemployment drug testing and random drug testing throughout the employment period

  • Must possess a clean MVR and maintain throughout employment
